I have a 1985 (USA) with the fuse box and relays mounted on the cockpit side of the the front bulkhead behind (not in) the glove box.

The configuration don't match the Bible and I don't have a owner's manual. Can anyone send me a chart of what is for what please. (3 rows of 6 fuses with the diode in the upper right corner.)

Also how does the relay board detach at the top? The lower (bottom) is loose (broken off?). Unfortunately I'm in a dark garage with no power & haven't been able to see a screw, bolt or clip with my flashlight.

Thanks Grady

You're probably better off working out which relay does what by either unplugging them and seeing what stops working, or else identify them from the wire colours. Sorry, colors wink

H'm- This is my 'new' wedge and lots of things want to work and lots don't. Guessing if a relay applies to the a/c, engine or headlights is sticky - bit of theatre there - since none of them work at the moment.

I agree with match up colours hence my second question about getting the the relay board loose w/o doing more harm.

Seriously - someone must have a '85 with intact owner's manual. Thanks Grady

I think the first one is what you need.
You may actually have a legend pasted on the inside of that drop down panel if it is a an unmolested car.

If these don't display well in the forum, mail me and I'll mail them back to you.

Keep an open mind about the relay diagrams, they are often incorrect. The relay board (usually) is assembled from interlocking sockets and even the factory didn't put them together the same way twice.
The usual mounting method was by four pillars that snap into the grooves on the sides of the sockets and are then screwed to the firewall.

Thanks Jeff - Looks like a Series 1 fuse panel. Unmolested by the PO but unfortunately not by the ravishes of time. No sign yet of a legend.

Thanks Wedg1e - I'll poke around some more on the relays.

Grady,
As you have a few things not behaving as they should, it may be easier to take a different approach.
Pull every relay, clean the pins and a small dab of dielectric grease and plug 'em back in.
Repeat with every fuse.
Repeat with all the connecters.
Repeat with all sockets and bulbs.
Tighten & check grounds.

Then deal with the remaining faults.
