Best Les Paul 'Copy' - Vintage V100?
Discussion
Epiphone Les Paul is the way to go. I have a Custom and I love it - I had the Gibson Burstbuckers put on it a couple of years ago and it sounds awesome! Plays really well too, and is nicely weighted.

Go play them and see what you think - night and day compared to the Vintage. Remember Gibson make Epiphone guitars!
Have a look for a second hand Custom, makes a big difference but the standard ones are very nice too.

I'm very happy with my Tokai 'Love Rock' although it's a '91 so I can't comment on the quality of the new ones. Worth having a play on one if you get the chance I'd say.
A mate of mine has one of these, and runs it through this:
into a Vox AC30. Sounds divine, plays beautifully.

No need! That big Blackstar lump in the middle is incredible - there's a valve sat in there, with both gain and distortion channel. All you need!MTR
My significantly more minimalist setup (I'm in the process of adding an Ernie Ball volume pedal, a chorus of some description, and a boost pedal (probably the MXR Micro Amp...and of course a bigger pedal board, too!) has the single-channel version, and it's an absolute beauty!

Ive never seen these Black star things before! I am a little rusty though.
I assume it gives that tonal tube sound? I have always loved the Tube Screamer although it is very subtle.
Any artists use the Black Star?
