LVF1 electronic viewfinder for Lumix?

I keep trying to put my recently purchased GF1 compact camera up to my eye to look through viewfinder it doesn't have. Must be something about the bulk of the camera that reminds me of something previously owned. I have when been using little Lumix point and shoots in bright sunlight wished that they had a proper viewfinder.

Is the external electronic viewfinder any good? Don't really want to fork out over £150.00 for one if it isn't that good.

In short, no. Electronic viewfinders are often awful and are no match for a proper viewfinder.

Thanks for that. Someone else told me the same thing today. Have decided to get an optical finder instead.
