Paint Colours

Hi all,

My Chim is in for a respray this week and I'm thinking of changing the colour.

The hood is blue, so I'm probably going to be restricted to shades of blue, but I'd like something a little meaner looking so I thought I'd try and get a few pics out of owners on here for ideas..

I spoke to the guy at the bodyshop, and he suggested a pretty cool looking paint (I forget the name) where they spray the car black, then blue over the top and it sort of 'glows' blue and changes in the light - very cool and its a possibility, but I'd like to know if there are any other good colours out there? Or if someone has a picture of a car with this blue glow paint...?

I have had this very same problem, I wanted something a little different but also have a blue roof. Some great suggestions came but in the end I settled on the same colour, but with more gold fleck in the mix to give it a greater shine in the sunlight. Not got her back yet so I can't show a picture.

A lot of Rolex Blue cars had blue roofs, mine included.

I actually changed the roof to black when I had it replaced, but I'd never think of changing the Rolex Blue to anything else

I'm thinking of using the blue from the BMW/petronas F1 car, if I can ever find out what the mix is!

I'm really liking that BMW F1 Blue though! I may have a way of finding out the colour source. Happy to do some digging if it's a contender?

Looks pretty close to Tahiti Blue

Bmw Avis blue? my mate did this mini Avis blue and had some left over for this jet bike project i was doing at the time. Nice Colour.

My Old chim had a blue with a hint of purple at extreme angles (170 degree to a flat surface). I think it was called Chiaro Blue. Its a Honda colour I think? (th photo doesn't show the purple I'm talking about. I'll see if I can find a better pic on my other PC.

That BMW F1 colour comes close to my paint: Red Bull Blue Pearl (TVR107~1AVLB), which is originally a Ducati colour.

What about spectaflair (sp?) silver? Silver cars look good with a blue roof.

Lotus Laser blue looks good, but I'm biased.

Or Honda bayside blue I think its called, an NSX colour

Can I ask what the body/colour code is for yours? Mine is supposed to be Cosmos Blue but the code doesn't match up.

hello all

Does anyone a pic a a car in red bull blue,i have a dax rush apparently in the same,but i've tried a few various places and the colour seems to be coming back in various shades of purple.Does anyone know where i can get red blue blue.
