£20k Barge, Least Depreciation...

Would like to spend 20k on a nice comfy motor, with fairly decent economy (35-40mpg) for commuting and motorway work. (< 4 years old pref)

Is it possible to combine this with something that will lose little money? I'm presuming not, but looking for suggestions as to what would lose the least over 3 years.

Facelift (2005+) 730d sport......I had one for 18 months and I still miss it, suberb cars.

Slighter older, but huge amount of car for cash. No warranty though, should I be worried? A visit from Hugh G Bills perhaps?

If you're bothered about big bills why not go for the 5 series/A6/E class size.
They will also do 40+ mpg, the bigger cars will struggle to do 35+ combined.

No warranty? Isn't that being sold as an approved used BMW so therefore with full warranty?

AUC car as far as I can see, so a year of warranty on that.

I don't think there is a barge that holds it's money early on. If your not too bothered about badges maybe take advantage of that and go for something that's already dropped? Like a C6?
