Internet Car Discounts, whats the catch.
Discussion
After a long long dither, I have (I think) decided on how to move forward with my cars.
I fancy an MX5 - especially one of the special edition models out at the moment.
A few minutes on line got me pretty good discounts. A few hours after that I am chatting with a dealer who can supply me with one for nearly 4 grand off list.
Seems like a good deal.
Armed with that, I intend to go to my local Mazda dealer where I am already a customer and see what they can do for me. Also perhaps shop around at a few other local dealers.
Couple of questions.
Buying online - the company I found put a Mazda dealer in touch with me - is there a catch? Four Grand off without so much as asking.
No part Ex from me and I am after a little bit of finance, so I guess that ups the discount value.
So how do they do it? the cars are not Euro imports and the like, they are UK spec supplied cars.
Also, armed with a quote from these guys, will the local guy be likely to want to beat the online deal. I'd quite like 4k off list and a free service package for 3 years.
Is that asking too much do you reckon?
If not servicing, are there any other easy win sweetners I can ask for.

simple really, no, i doubt the dealership will match it.
they buy in bulk to get a reduced price, also look at the warrenty, these internet guys usually sell you short on warrenty.
my advise see what the dealer will to do get close to the internet price and take it. remember if anything goes wrong with the car your local dealership is a lot closer and less likely to tell you to f

I just have that If it seems too good to be true feeling.
from my expirence as a seller and a buyer if it seems to good to be true then it more than likely is.check the reg of the car. cos if the dealership registered the car before march 1st then it might be right as they cant sell it on a 11 plate!
