I've been after a new watch for a while but not really seeing much that floats my boat. I've had a Breitling Navitimer and have just sold my Tag Monaco as they're becoming (in my opinion) a bit like a White Audi!

I fancy something a bit different but I'm really struggling to find something I like. I have fairly skinny wrists so something like an IWC / U-boat would look daft.

Not normally a fan of Rolex however the Cosmograph Daytona (red and black face) seems nice. I recently tried on a Maurice Lacroix Pontos that I liked last week but wasn't too keen as they could only do it with a leather bracelet and I prefer SS.

Any suggestions?? Budget <5k if possible.

New or pre-owned?

I'll assume pre-owned

Baby PloProf is quite small (38mm case) & should be had in mint condition for £2k

Regular SM120 also 38mm & much less money

I guess you like sports watches? How about these two as alternatives to the ubiquitous Submarimers and Speedies?

IWC Portuguese chronograph.
Zenith Flyback Chrono

Both around 41mm and around £4k. The Zenith can be had for 2k second hand

That Baby PloProf is quite nice - the bracelet is lovely. The bracelet can be like wheels on a car - the right one can make a huge difference imo.

I have tended to air on the side of sports watches previously as most of those come without a leather strap (pet hate) but would consider anything really. Doesn't necessarily have to be pre-owned or new, but I want something that looks fairly normal / average to the untrained eye.

Lovely of course, but quite chunky for a skinny wrist

Although I normally try avoid leather straps, that Bremont P51 is beautiful!

Gonna have to do some more digging on that me thinks! Thanks for all the suggestions chaps.
