and while I'm here, does anyone know the best corner-cut route to take between the M1 and the M62?

I often drive from Cross Green to the M62 Eastbound at peak time - I find it far quicker to come off the M1 South at J44 (near the Arla place), and cut through Rothwell/oulton, past the swimming pool and onto the M62 there - theres only one hold up (roundabout near Oulton Hall) and you avoid all the Chaos where the M1 meets the M62 and M621.

No idea about other directions though.

Thanks. but it was the M1 south of the M62 I needed ( I should have been more specific)
