Is the running gear on an 630i six series the same as a 530i

Reason I ask is I'm just importing my 630i into Australia, this isn't a model sold here but the 530i is so I want to know if consumerables such filters and the like are interchangeable.

I think both 2005 630i and 2005 530i share the same engine right?

Personally have no idea, why not just run both models through realoem and compare part numbers or whatever?

Some do some don't - there was a changeover in the E60 from M54 petrol engines to the N52. So the later 05's do have the same engine as yours.

It's a pretty standard BMW engine, also found in the 330i, 130i, etc so you'll have no problems getting parts.

Never seen realoem but that's great...confirmed what I wanted to know.
