The question is what killed him - could be something like an embolism maybe? i.e. something physically wrong with him?

The involuntary twitching of his back leg , could well be an indicator that he had a stroke.

It would suggest something to do with the brain/nervous system, at any rate. Such involuntary leg twitching in humans can be a symptom of a brain tumour.

They'll find out in time, I'd imagine.
