I suggest you try getting a job with a third party IT service provider and support company. Site visits to multiple sites are much more interesting I find, than being stuck in hose in one place. Also these companies expose you to experienced techies which gives you the opportunity to learn and rapidly get into other areas (so long as you can make or save money for the employer in the other areas!).
Having a degree by itself doesn't hold much value for me as an interviewer mind you; existing experience or the ability to learn and customer facing/personal skills are most important.
