Must be one of the most likeable blokes I ever met. It's a shame to read about his health problems on ED but here is a bloke who did a lot of behind-the-scenes work on numerous committees and inside several organisations. A proper gent! Here's hoping he gets better.

I often used to read about John and his wife Liz in our local paper as they were both into local politics and were both local Councillors. John was a local Councillor in one village and Liz was a Councillor in the next village. It's so sad to read about someone who used to be so active and can now do very little.
