Why has the Reply from BRAKE thread been closed?

Im starting to think that its because theyve won.
I can understand Ted not wanting to have problems with them, but stifling peoples opinions is just playing into their hands.
They want to have the control to shut "us" up(i speak only for myself here) as they have only their opinion and no others will ever be considered, their views are concrete.
The post i put in the other day was in my opinion so badly moderated that it transformed a completely swear free post into something that to the casual reader looked like i had used every profanity under the sun, with the result that i removed it as it looked so bad.
Thats just what they want.
If we cant openly discuss a flawed road "safety" groups policies without being forever frightened of their accusations (lies) then what are we doing here?
If brake believed i should be hung, drawn and quartered for my views on them, then so be it, i wouldnt go down the route they last took, ie; making allegations of an untrue nature, as i actually believe in freedom of speech, even if it does offend.
Having said that, if the mods think we shouldnt express views on the opposition then maybe the forums should be closed or more specific rulings put in place.
Either way, brake and co will still have won.

However I agree that if opinions of contributors to forums like this are stifled then what's the point - we have censureship, dictatorship and a police state. Just what B'Lair wants.
Lessons should be learned from another well known forum which many thought was ruined because of the choir-boy PC antics of one of the moderators, though I have not found that to be the case here. Yet.
I was a bit drunk, I have apologised though. I closed it because some drunken posts on there were inappropriate and gave me cause for concern. I meant to open it up again this morning.

So you have to carry the can for all of the grumpy, mouthy, pi$$ed up and pi$$ed off contributors.
You do a brilliant job, it is, in the main, entertaining and informative, so don't apologise, carry on doing what you think is correct.
