Please PLEASE Help!
Discussion
I know i know, there are hundreds of unfortunate pooches out there at the moment, but i am desperately asking you to please donate £1 or absolutely anything you can to help this poor little boy out.

Buster is 2, and is being advertised by a woman for sale.
She originally tried to advertise him as a STUD DOG, needless to say she didnt get any responses.
As you can see, he has an awful skin complaint, and his eye is terribly infected.
He lives outside with no shelter, and as you can see is in a terrible state. Bulldog rescue have agreed to take him on and nuture him back to full health, but we need to raise £500 for his treatment, and to go and get him.
Please please please ( and i NEVER do threads like this! ) please donate as much or as little as you possibly can to try and rescue this little boy before its too late.
The paypal address to donate to is the Bulldog Rescues Direct address:
bulldogrescue@btinternet.com
And if you do donate, please put 'Buster' in the title so that bulldog rescue can set it aside from other donations.
Thanks for reading my ramble.

I can appreciate your concern.
I believe the original ad has been taken down due to the amount of complaints they received.
But members of the bulldog owners club have been in touch with the owner to verify it is genuine.
Plus, tania at Bulldog rescue is also on the case. Tania has run www.bulldogrescue.co.uk/home.htm for years.

Please don't take this the wrong way but is this genuine??
Can you provide a proper web address with further details? Or a link to specific page for this chap on the pets4homes site perhaps?
I've just checked - that email address appears on their website:Can you provide a proper web address with further details? Or a link to specific page for this chap on the pets4homes site perhaps?

There isn't a reference to this little fella on there but it'sa fairly clunky website. Is there something on their Facebook page, Moo?
No honey theres nothing as a direct link onto the rescue, as they dont have direct consent from busters 'owner' ( if you can call them that ) to advertise him as a rescue!
Are you a member of the bulldog owners club? www.bulldogowners.co.uk it hink you have to register, but his story is on the main Bulldog Chat forum there.

Ok so it seems less questionable than at first, but how will the funds get to help the little chap if still with his owner etc? Sorry for being a pain in the arse about this but I would happily donate at least a little something if I can be sure it'll actually help him!
How come this little fella hasnt been taken from owner etc?

Just joined - I'll be donating later. I want to take him home myself; if Mrstheboy sees this, she will too!Are you a member of the bulldog owners club? www.bulldogowners.co.uk it hink you have to register, but his story is on the main Bulldog Chat forum there.
MKR - We simply cannot get the owner to release where she is (other than bradford) otherwise we wouldve sent the rspca round. She wont release the dog without payment. Shes tried studding him, thats failed, so now she just wants him gone by the looks of it.
Its heartbreaking it really is.

So the £500 is to give to the owner rather than for treatment?? You have to buy Buster?
This is a really bad situation if the above is true. Surely the owner can be forced to hand over the dog - not looking after a pet properly is sufficient right? There must be a record of contact details and therefore somekind of traceability??
How much have you raised so far?

Unfortunately yes MKR but at the end of the day i dont look at it like that, i see a dog, who is slowly dying, severely neglected, and in desperate need of attention.
Bulldog rescue will fund the treatment this dog needs, to get him back to full health before being rehomed.
I know some people will look at it as if we are ultimately paying the owners to treat a dog like s
t and get away with it, but id rather try and raise the funds somehow and just get him out of there.
Apparently someone has now made contact with the owners. The RSPCA are also investigating it in corporation with the bulldog rescue.
The main priority is getting the dog out.

Tis a horrible situation but I do have a real aversion to anything I donate going to the owners.
These f
kers should be prosecuted instead!
I hope that you get him out of there without handing them anything at all and that the money you have raised already goes to him and not them!! Seems like you are going to get him out of there without buying him, with help from RSPCA etc and I would be happy to donate something to him when that happens.
If however, you absolutely have to pay them and you don't have enough then please post again or email me at mkr@dimek.co.uk and I will donate something to the cause. I'm honestly not trying to be funny about this - I hope you understand.
I sincerely hope you rescue the little chap asap and I'd really like to know how you get on!!

Why not tell the dog owner (who is hereafter referred to as scum) that you have the £500 and you are ready to collect the dog. Then you get the address off the scum so you can "go round to collect". In the meantime you get the RSPCA to attend at the address she has now given and get the dog removed and the scum prosecuted for cruelty.
