Audi A4 Cab problem, needs reseting. how to? Help

Apologies if this has been discussed before although I cant find it anywhere.
Problem is;
03 A4 cab, while putting the roof down I managed to click the unlock button on the key fob, this somehow freaked out the roof and it stopped ,mid-position!
No matter how many different combinations of button pushing, ignition positions and general swearing would make the roof work again! I just get a beeping noise on the dash when the ignition is switched on followed by the roof light flashing away. I've managed to get it closed manually but it still refuses to work.
General internet searches reveal not much other than it may/will need a reset.
So I guess my question is, how? and can I do it myself?

This could be a simple overload. Look for a red handled T-key above the fuses . Use this key in a hole at the head of the roof and turn it to lock the roof closed. Similar hole between the rear seats to lock the rear cover closed.

Long shot, but I had the roof jam up on an A4 cab I had a while ago.
If I recall correctly, I got someone to hold the button as if operating the roof and then pulled the roof manually. It seemed to "find itself" and start operating normally again.
Worth a shot?

Fixed it!
Turns out that even though I had manually closed and locked it down over the windshield with the 'big' key, the rear hatch wasn't locked down as well. Didn't think to check as it never actually went as far as going up at all before it got stuck in the first place, guess everything unlocks as soon as you pull the roof switch and stays unlocked until fixed.
