Adjustable S/S Piston Forge Actuators

I have been speaking to Forge who have said they will be prepared to make their piston type actuators to fit the Garrett T25/T28 turbos. These are fitted to all GTOs, GTO3s, 3Rs & M400s and will be available fitted with the springs of your choice from their range.
Advantage of these?
Being stainless steel they'll not rot like the standard items. Being a piston type means they'll not fail because the diaphragm has let by, and being adjustable means instead of buying 0.5Bar or 0.7Bar when you want to upgrade, you just buy a pair of new springs and replace your existing. If you want to keep your car standard then they can be a fit and forget item.
Price?
Forge are willing to offer these as a pair for 2x £105.84, so £211.68 + VAT. This means you'll get the s/s version for the same price as the regular alloy items (that they don't actually make for this turbo, hence the requirement for the group buy) would be.

Out of interest would the new actuators need a remap to start with or would they be ok on current map and just give the potential for more power later?

- Warning might not know what I'm talking about, but at least somebody who does can make sure this doesn't get missed*
The difference was noticable when I got it set up properly, but personally I would not just bolt one (well 2) of these on without having an accurate boost guage plumbed into the system or better still it on a RR.
Might be different with the piston type, Can somebody who knows clarify for the forum ? (BTW I have a brand new one for a MR2 sat in the garage if anybody was interested).
Its good advice but nothing specific to this type of valve. All actuators can be massively varied by how much pretension you apply to the spring which is why you should always carefully measure the length from valve to centre of turnbuckle hole and replicate that with whatever new valve you fit.
Years ago a simple upgrade to my RS Turbo was to pull the circlip, wind in the turnbuckle a couple of turns and whack it back together. Job done. Extra 4psi thank you very much! (It didn't last very long mind you).

I'm afraid so, I needed some quickly and there wasn't any more interest so I just had Forge make me a pair of 1 offs. They do have another pair made up that you can spec with your choice of springs but you will need turnbuckles too as Forge use a different rod thread to what you'll currently have.
