Hi all, Dads kits car is doing his head in, he needs a new one of these

The plastic bottle has a crack and leaks.

It's a Spartan, Cortina based. Not sure if this part is Ford, but the picture shows a G symbol, with a hand/arm for thehorizontal part of the G logo.

His neibour has an old renault van, with the same logo on his resovoir.

Any help at this moment would be a godsend. Anything.

Many thanks, in advance.

if yours has a single screw/bolt that holds the reservoir to the mastercylinder near the servo then its cortina plus you should have only two outlets then its definatly cortina mk3. i just checked the spare and the one i have is a mk4 or 5.

Hi Tony, i've got some more photos for you to look at, as i'm not sure
this is the same as the one you describe.

The car was completed in 1986

I looked on the Girling website, and put the numbers in the search, no luck

Info on plastic bottle: 74470127

Info on master cylinder: Q181 64679155

Thanks for looking.

Can't help, but's good to see that you've taken the time to get a decent set of photos.
So much better than a shaky phone pic taken in the dark!

Only me, again.

Can anyone tell me.

1, How does the reservoir seperate from the cylinder. See yellow arrow.

2, Does this part do anything, other than hold the reservoir to the
to the cylinder, ie, is it a brake fluid return (type of thing).

When the two screws are removed, the whole res. can spin round, but
dont seem to want to come off.

Many thanks, we are really struggling with this.
