3000m rear chassis bracing?
Discussion
I am in the process of building a 3000m race car. I have noticed that the rear kick up of my chassis is not braced where others appear to be.
I assume the last owner hacked them out for some reason, however I wondered if all 3000m/Taimar chassis had this bracing or did the factory leave this out on the later models?
My chassis:

Chassis with the corner bracing (not a standard M chassis, but illustrates the point):

On The last picture (only because it is easy to describe as they have all had them removed) the tube that comes across the car at 10 O'clock has a an extension which was used to hang/dip the chassis and later to mount the export reel seat belts. AND is only need if you have a 3000s with factory roll hoop or the seat belts.

Just checked in one of my ref books 'The TVRs, Grantura to Tasmin by Graham Robson. On page 66 theres a photo of the 2500m rolling chassis, no extra uprights. On page 60 where it has M series 2500M chassis ready for assembly, there not on that one either. But before I get polaxed, there is a schematic of a 3000M chassis on page 57 where the extra uprights are quite evident. So, is there a big difference between the 2500M and 3000M chassis? I beleive that my car was intended for export but was then removed from the list and sold in the UK.

Where is 2240TM (the first M series style chassis regardless of shell version) I wonder, we owned the 23rd ( I cannot remember the chassis number) but that had the tubes.

Your has the tube extensions and an additional tube to support your cage John, I have factory drawings dated 1972 and extensions and brace are included in those..so this has surprised me.

As you are probably aware Adrian, the top rail extensions and the outside roll hoop vertical uprights to connect the extended top to the bottom rail, on my chassis pictured, are additions I have made.Where is 2240TM (the first M series style chassis regardless of shell version) I wonder, we owned the 23rd ( I cannot remember the chassis number) but that had the tubes.

My car is 73, so probably built 72 and it didn't have the top rail extensions but definately has the 45 degree braces.

Here's what I've got, might be of some help. By the way, poke scanning stuff you need a teenager to show you how to do it.

Probably get done for copyright infringment now?
Well, going back to my original question about the corner bracing on the rear kick-up the drawing above does not show them?
