One I'm sure any astronomer / space fan will know happens to be my favourite.

For those unaware it's called the Pale Blue Dot, taken by voyager 1, and the pale blue dot you see in the reddish orange band on the right hand side is Earth. A picture which never fails to make me feel completely insignificant and tiny

This was taken from our neighbouring country, Oman, during the last solar eclipse.

It isn't a tie fighter, it's the ISS btw

The blue dot photo.... wow... at first glance I thought it was a crappy attempt at the northern lights, read the text and I feel very, very, small.

ETA 2.0! = Exif - Takahashi FSQ-106ED refractor on EM-10 mount, Canon 5D mark II. 1/5000s exposure at 100 iso.

Yep, has been for a wee while - the coming months will make for really interesting viewing of Jupiter with all the activity expected.

They should run that through the image enhancing computers they use in CSI Miami. They should be able to see back before the Big Bang ever happened. YEAAAAH!
