Dead Flies

Just been in garage to get Griff ready for its imminent launch onto the highways. And have found dead flies etc in the headlight area, underneath the plastic cover.

Is there an easy way to remove them and clean the area ? And how the fk did they get there ?

Any help appreciated

Only way (unless you want to take the unit out.. big no!! )is to get the vac and using the pipe attachment, join a smaller pipe onto it that will go thru the light mount hole... Obviously to get to this you have to remove the front wheel and the inner wing panel and then the bulbe etc
... and after you've done it.. if there is dust in there also.. .you'll now have nice marks in the dust where to tube hit so you now need to get a duster on a stick and proddle about to clean this up... mind you don't loose the duster!!

Thank you for your help. I was hoping for a secret magic entry point. Every other part of the car needs a special email from long standing members to tell you the secret entry point.

Do the headlights just unscrew, if I have taken the back bit off, after removing the wheel and going in that way ?

Let them enjoy the ride. My nearside headlight always had a spider's web in it - never saw the spider. It was there for the four years I had it and is probably still there to this day.

Seems like it may be easier to drive into a wall, and then let the bodyshop sort it

No.. The lights are a pain to get out ... and some will and some won't.... as I remember I could get one of mine out but not the other... Ended up screwing it off the adjusters and pushing it forward I think???... can't quite remember now... but as LG say's... I'd be in no rush to get in there... May cause more problems than it's worth
