Anyone know where, apart from a TVR parts dealer where I might be able to pick up a Clear Front Flasher (Indicator Lens), it's marked LAP ELEC MK3 from a 2003 Cerbera.

Thanks

Chris

Thanks, I have got a set of them, but the one I'm after is a flat lens. I've just found LAP Electrical in Birmingham on Google so might drop them an email.

Lenses marked Lap Elec originally only fitted to Tuscans with extended tube, may be better asking over on the Tuscan forums

Unfortunately not. Mine are the same as the OP's too. No bezel just a dead flat opaque lens fixed into the aperture with sealant.

Simon

Has anyone managed to find a cheaper alternative to the front indicator lens which has smashed and gone from my car? It's a flat lens stuck to the reflector/bulb aperture with clear sealant. I don't really want to rip the whole light unit out as the rest is fine, just find a new lens and stick it on. Racing Green have whole lights for £66.00, I'm sure I can get a better deal than that. I've contacted LAP electrical to see if they sell or have other outlets. Bought what I thought would fit off ebay, a landrover reverse light but thats too big.

Any ideas?

A google here and there, seems to point to them being a reversing lens from a military Land Rover, but TBH I don't know from my own experience.

These guys seem to sell them so give them a call perhaps to check dimensions etc?

The glass lens is held in place by the crimping of the metal around it. So you have to replace the whole one. Keep an eye on eBay I got a pair from there. But search land rover not Tvr.

I've thought about replacing with something more modern.

This is how mine goes, pretty sure it's not crimped. It's a flat faced lens (not domed at all, as the land rover types) glued on. LAP ELEC moulded around the edge, which you can see in the photo. This is a 2003 car. I guess I'm gonna have to turn a simple fix into a pull out both lights and replace for about £100 or hopefully those land rover sidelights will fit for £16. It's a shame coz I like the flat profile look of mine.

I changed my orange ones for clear ones on the Cerb.
iirc I got them for £25 a pair from a Malaysian seller on ebay - genuine new Landrover parts for a Challenger Tank and military spec Landrover ......

perhaps they have been changed in the past, i have a 2004 car and have the landrover clear lens, they are very susceptible to damage so could be why they have been changed.

Spoke to a guy at LAP ELectrical regarding the lense and he said it was actually made by cutting two types of lenses and bonding together because TVR wouldn't pay for tooling...

Just noticed you have the same colour car as me, Starmist grey with red interior from what I can see from your pic.

laughWell there's another great Tvr story to add to the rest of them! Meanwhile I'll have to rip out both indicators and change them to Landrover ones! What did you do with yours in the end?

Mines Starmist Grey with red and light interior, probably would have chosen just the red if I'd had the choice.

I replaced mine with the Tuscan Mk1 type...

Be careful when buying the Landrover ones, some come with no internal reflector
