MS wheel - repair advice or replacement part
Discussion
Hello all. Was just playing F1 2010 when suddenly I couldn't shift up any more. Taking apart the wheel revealed a broken bit on the right paddle, so it won't press the internal button. Can anyone handy suggest a repair method? Superglue has failed and I suspect sourcing a replacement will be tricky...
Cheers.

Cheers.

Araldite/Epoxy. But make sure of the clearances around the edges first, so that the extra glue around the join doesn't foul on something when you move the paddle.
Like you, I've tried superglue for this sort of thing in the past, it doesn't work. Epoxy does the trick.
Cheers for that. Got some epoxy and it felt pretty strong after drying for two days, but as soon as I tried to put the part back in it snapped again. Just not strong enough. Gaaah, very annoying. Anyone know if spares are available anywhere?Like you, I've tried superglue for this sort of thing in the past, it doesn't work. Epoxy does the trick.

Drill a small hole (or two) in each of the pieces you're trying to join. Then cut a small length of paper-clip, and use it as a peg between the two pieces. That should be enough reinforcement when combined with some proper glue.Gassing Station | Video Games | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
