Drove the Tuscan to work this morning, locked it in the car park OK. This evening it wouldn't react to the key fob at all. My wife brought the spare key and that had the same problem. Red flashing light by the immobiliser slot as usual so the car battery looks OK, and it was showing 13.5V on the way in this morning

I know the secret way in but have never used it. Bit concerned that when I get in alarm will go like mad and I won't be able to stop it.

Also wondering why it should suddenly do this. What are the chances of it all working tomorrow?

All help gratefully received.

Wonder if the rolling code has gone out of sync?
You might need to be ready to disconnect the battery on the car to reset
On reconnection press the fob within a few secs to resync

Rolling code? Are they that sophisticated?

Perhaps the batteries have gone flat in the fobs, that happened with mine as they do drain even if they're not being used.

John,

Just be sure - when you do get in, that you don't have ane items 'touching' the button next to the immobiliser cancel port adjacent to the pod.

I had CD's doing this.....and only realised that they were pushing the 'panic' lock button. Kept me scratching my head for ages.

Thanks for your input everyone. Got in OK, car was completely dead - flat battery, so charged up via the Andersen connector and all was OK.

Note to self... next time you park up, turn the bcensoredy headlights off! getmecoat

Must get a lights on buzzer sorted out.

The theory is here http://www.chimaerapages.com/resources_lightson.ph..., need to work out to get the input sources in the Tuscan. Ignition source from the radio sounds OK, lights on probably from the back of the lights knob or fusebox though as I don't think that lights have any effect on the stereo (OK, I admit, I never use it so don't know smile)
