Great job Tas.Always liked carbon fibre look.
Have done the 350 using "sticky back plastic" cost a fiver. It was done as a stop gap untill i could get some engine turned stainless but decided i liked the carbon.
Course Tim would have done a proper job on yours. (ive got joins in my Blue Peter job)

Thanks for the comments folks - looks good but the car still don't run right
Chrome bezels are a good idea depending on how they fit as the dash is now velco mounted to ease future access (just watch it get nabbed now!!).
Tim was going to try and just do carbon as I didn't want to keep the OTT heavy back plate baut as it's one layer of Carbon it'd be too flimsey to have on it's own. Price wise Tim and I did a deal as it was experimental but he'd be competitive.
Seamus if I can find a decent carbon knob (now there's a thing - ooer) then the wooden one will be for sale.
Possibly sorted by BBW Fest.

Top job Tas, looking good. Agree that the bezels would finish it, I had them recently, see www.pistonheads.co.uk/gassing/topic.asp?t=90120&f=12&h=0 There's also the link on this thread to Redline where you can buy them
and in my opinion they look fantastic. They just push in place, held with a bit of silicon or something!
Hope you get your other problems sorted.

Steve,
Wet the bed? - Early innit! - well it is when your not working - my excuse is back ache from leaning over the SEAC's wing to try and get it to run - good news is I've sorted the steering free play/judder (another problem)which I was told was due to worn steering knuckles and thus the car must have done more than the 18k shown - twas the bulkhead bush which had gone oval due to excess pressure in one plane for too long - suggesting as I suspected that the car has stood unused for years - blah waffle - sorry - Chrome sure look good as does the interior of your car - stunning
If I could only get the damn alarm to stop going off I could get the car started to try and fix the misfire/stall issue - frustrating these Wedges

Tas , work in London two days a week, hate the trains so I drive in early, takes 50 mins. One of these days I will pluck up the courage to bring the Wedge in, it's the journey home that stops me as it can occasionally take 2 or 3 hours to do the 40 miles
Sounds like you're making progress, back pain excepted, keep plugging away. You have a stunning car and I can't wait to see the beastie at BBWF
