Simple scenario : Fit brake master cylinder , bleed brakes ,sorted .
4ltrs of fluid later still no pedal pressure

No leaks at any calipers
All THREE bleed nipples on front calipers( AP 4 pots) bled .
No leaks on any of brake pipes or connections (Goodrich braided)

What am I missing

Any suggestions guys ?

Seal might not be tight in the m/cyl bore if it's been sat on a shelf for a while. Try and get some warmth in there?

Try using an Easibleed or similar, these are good when you're replacing major components as they'll shift any large air pockets. Then use a coventional 2 person method for the final bleed. Also bleed the longest pipe runs first and bleed the back then the front system.

Best of luck
Matt

When I upgraded the braking system on an RS2000 (a long time ago) and ran the lines inside (it was used for stage rallying), I fitted bleed nipples in the pipework. Worked a treat! - Streaky

Edited to remove evidence of finger-trouble.

Richard Moore told me it was a bit of a nightmare to do if you dont know the sequence to do it in, apparently rears first.

Usually with wedge brakes you get air traped on the link pipes on the rear callipers.use an easy bleed or pump the brake pedal 3 times then bleed. Try that 3 or 4 times

The solution for mine was as follows:

Master cylinder pipe connections , starting with farthest from servo.
Rear calipers ( Only one bleed on mine)
Front passenger caliper ( 3 nipples) top outer then anti clockwise
Drivers side , top outer then clockwise

Woof, woof! I was "barking" to try it. Still, at least it didn't break!

Hangs head in shame, edits original post to remove evidence (thank goodness no-one quoted it), gets coat and slinks out quietly.
