House Alarms ?

Hey Folks,
Anyone here do domestic alarm systems or have a recommendation that they can give for a good firm ?
We have a system at present but would like to get it updated as well as adding new door contacts, have had ADT quote and feels a bit rich pricewise as they are saying £1000 +£145 p.a. maint/monitoring charge. The price includes replacing some of detectors (all wired) that are on the way out, new panel and outside box.
Thoughts ? advice and any recommendations gratefully received !

Dont know where about in scotland you are but i can recommend Bennett Security Ltd in Aberdeen 01224 783 195. They specialize in Burglar Alarm Systems. Mike is a very nice guy to deal with Very efficient and Excellent workmanship. I am sure he will be much cheaper than ADT.

Connelly Security Systems have a 24hr monitoring operation and installation team based in Scotland. I used to use them for commercial stuff and they were very good, but I think they mostly do domestic stuff now.
