Step away from the keyboards and climb off your soapbox, those of you who want a heated debate on alternative medicine this is just an innocent question! wink

I'm aware that giving up smoking needs some actual willpower, but I am interested in hearing if anyone's ever tried accupuncture to help give up. I had accupuncture for some back problems a few years ago and it worked really well but I've no experience of it for something like this.

Anyone?

Should work. Also check out Emotional Freedom Techniques - uses acupuncture but goes into more depth to ensure you don't adopt other addictions.

Try it and let me know. I know far too many people who have benefited from it.

It will probably work, same as hypnotherapy worked for me. You believe the treatment will work, therefore it does.

I would never knock the placebo effect, it is very powerful and a lot GP's use it to their and the patients advantage very often.
