After seeing what others do to their nobles i have decided to have a go myself!In three years of ownership i never even changed the pads myself as this car after all is the second most expensive thing i own ive always been a bit worried that i would brake something or do something wrong etc. so its gone to the garage for absolutly every little job that has needed doing. Until now!
So ive decided to go in deep and this is where im at!
The front end is a bit rusty!
While the floor is off i decided to sand back the box section to bare metal as i really want to try and preserve not just cover up anything i come across as this is becoming quite a restoration job!
next job as the rust had pitted a bit i had to treat it

That is looking great, i am really impressed with the level of detail with the restoration, it looks like you are doing a really good job, the way you are approaching this is like a full restoration project, but also upgrading and modifying all components before putting back together, this is definately the way to do it.
It seems you are definately "in deep" but that bodes well for you as there is no turning back until the project is finished now and as they say if a jobs worth doing its worth doing well.

Very impressed, looks exactly like my car just now, there's a few people doing this at the mo. I have been taking pics as I go so guess I should start a thread showing progress. Just want to get more things done before I do. Its quite a daunting project to take on a full restoration like this when the most I'd normally done to a car was basic servicing.
All we need to do is just keep posting pics of mods that he may also may want to consider doing along the way 
You know Steve you may want to consider heat insulating the fuel system, keeping the fuel cold and dense is highly underated. The fuel gets heated up in the tank, then gets heated some more travelling through the pipes, then heated up some more while sat in the fuel rail waiting to be delivered and there is a terrible build up of heat in this area under the air intake, by the time it goes through the injectors it is barely a liquid anymore. You are modding the fuel tank so you may aswell go the whole hog, go on, add it to the list
