Well, it was a rather epic day! We had only managed to complete 20 laps prior to qualifying due to a few fuelling niggles but hit qualifying and managed to get 4th on the grid - though there was still a lot to come from the car.
We ran in 3rd comfortably until a safety car came along and we did a tactical refuel, and headed out again. Once the Viper had pitted, we ran in 2nd for the next 40 minutes or so, and we came in to the pits for a full refuel. The refuelling seemed to develop an airlock, and we headed back out, only to find that some fuel pickup problems meant that we ran out of fuel on the entrance to the pitlane. The Team pushed the car down the pitlane and refuelled, and we headed back out. A few laps later the gearshift mechanism in the cabin came adrift making it almost impossible to change gear, so we had a 25 minute stop whilst that was repaired.
We headed out for a final stint and the driver put in some brilliant laps to move 8 places up the rankings and take the points for 3rd in class. It was a brilliant team effort and as you say we really did take it to the big boys.
We are not happy with the fuelling/refuelling/pollock valve setup at all so we are looking into getting this sorted for the next round (hopefully with a single tank) - the gearshift is a freak and that can be fixed easily.
Thanks for your support too - its good to know we have guys on here following our progress.
We will post up a full race report shortly.

You want this video don't you! We haven't got anything on board but had a lot taken of the pitstops etc - still yet to get it off our photographer though!
Ha! It's an ongoing joke here Mr Macgtech. We crave track vids, but they are few and far between.Next round please.
Just to see you drag off the line would be great!!!
