Central Heating Problems
Discussion
I have microbore heating with the flow and return at 1st floor level and drops to the ground floor radiators. For a couple of years the two lounge radiators have not worked properly. Three months ago I added flux and sludge remover to the water which perked it up no end. Yesterday I drained and refilled the system including corrosion inhibitor and bled all the radiators. Now the two offnding radiators are stone cold, even if I turn off all the others. Does anybody have suggestions?
Could be a build up in the lower rads or pipes that needs flushing out. Drain the system and remove the lower rads. Take them outside and flush them out with a hosepipe. For the pipes themselves attatch some hosepipe to them and run it outside them fill the system so any crud in the pipes gets flushed out. Re-fit, test and if all is good add some inhibitor additive to keep the system in good nick.

What kind of system is it - sealed, with a combi?Try shutting off all the other rads and, with the system off, bleed the non-working rads first with one end valve turned off then swap and turn that valve off and open the other. Bleed a good amount of water out.
An update - I have been concerned that the pump is not working properly so I took it out earlier on and found it well and truly crudded-up, so I replaced it. But now the oil-fired boiler won't come on. The new pump is running, the programmer is on and power is through to the boiler but its not working at all. I've left a message for our service engineer to call me tomorrow. I should have known better than to tinker with the bloody installtion!
