Guys

Im planning a remote brake servo upgrade shortly after iva, anyone able to shed a little light? Seems fairly striaght forward. Am i right in reading that i need one remote brake servo or do i require two for the Ultima AP setup?

Also can i run a servo assist on both brakes and clutch?

Hi

Im not sure why you want a brake servo.. IMO it will just mean you over braking too often and lots of flat spots? I love the feed back in the pedal without one..

As for clutch, very it maybe a good idea but you will need a seperate servo..

The remote brake servos are not the best Idea, as they tend to hang on a little to much after you've release the pedal. There is a solution to Power brakes but it isn't cheap, weighs 5 kgs and needs a new brake pedal and bulkhead alterations... but then you can double the brake pressure you get from manual brakes. The most pressure I could make with straining to push the pedal was 1200psi on my old GTR. But this system can make 2500psi, and makes normal stopping way easier and less like trying to push a immovable Brick.

I originally fitted the servo assisted Ford brakes to my GTR, then as funds allowed, I upgraded to the factory AP set up. I retained the servos but after the first drive, disconnected them. They did not "hang on a little," they locked on solid and would only release when I stamped very hard on the pedal!
