Just had my first event of the year yesterday at Castle Combe, weather was great so no excuses after all the winters upgrades except this time last year the clutch exploded in the practice session so didn't compete then in October l put a wheel on the astro tuff which span me backwards into the tyre barrier damaging the rear of the car. I entered a trackday at CC a couple of weeks ago to get some time with the car but failed noise testing, so after new Piper/Roush silencers & no real running with the car l was very nervous !

The GWS is 1.75 laps long for each run from a standing start, managed a class win with a time of 136.89 secs which 7 seconds faster than my previous 2009 best winning time & 5 seconds faster than last years class record.

The car is fantastic & huge thanks again goes to Dave & Matt @ Jetstream & of course Trevor (Yellowshed)& thanks James of Bridge tyres for somehow getting me a new set of 888's.

Kevin

Kevin,

Awesome to be flat through that kink. Did they give you flying lap time? Well done and smashed the lap record....

Kev,

That's right up there with chillidog's best times. Impressive. Fastest thing I've seen there was a supercharged Elise doing 1.08's!!

Your lap was staggering Kev. Can't think how I'm going to make up the 9 seconds you have over me! Only managed a 145, still 14 seconds faster than I went last year.

Here's my lap:

It's a kodak zi8 with an engine bay mic, mounted using an ultra clamp: http://www.dogcamsport.co.uk/roll-bar-cage-mounts....
