Right, my front tyres died majorly today so after new ones. I've searched lots of threads on here about models and sizes etc.

I have been running Goodyear Eagle F1 Asym's and really liked them, they've been good in the wet and dry so I don't want anything worse in the wet which according to some reviews most alternatives are. However, this tyre has been discontinued and replaced with the Mk2 version but I can't find any in the same size, I've had 225/35 on it and been pretty happy.

The Mk2 Eagle F1 is available in 225/40 and some threads on here suggest going to 40 profile but I'm worried about them scrubbing the arch, anyone running these on a T350c and got feedback? I have Racing Red shocks so that may help and I wouldnt' mind a litle extra shock absorption from taller profile.

Looking at tyre reviews online the Conti Sport Contcat 3 or 5 is rated but anyone have other suggestions?

Many thanks in advance.

When I switched to 40 proflie had to raise the ride height and replace the bulbous headlight cover with a flat panel.

Can't help with size, but I've got the F1A2 tyres on the rear - and seem good so far.

225/40/18 front and 255/35/18 rear Toyo T1R and I think they are very good for the money, but DO need a bit of wearing in - probably about 500 - 1000 miles in my experience. Fantastic in the dry, and no complaints in the wet either... never had Goodyears so can't compare, only with original Toyo T1S and I think they're as good as T1S's..

They can rub on the front arch under full lock, but only a little bit - I run standard ride height with Gaz Gold Pro's all round.

Thanks for all the help. Looked at all sorts of performance tyre reviews and went with some Conti SportContact 3's as I didn't want to go to 40 profile in case of rubbing etc. I had some older Conti Sport Contacts on a Seat Cupra years ago and they were a massive improvement on the Pirelli PZero's it came with so will see how they go.
