Fuel tank breather
Discussion
Mine has been doing the same, well lots of gushing noises everytime i remove the tank cap. I removed the trim from around the filler neck and there is a small pipe going off into the rear wheel arch. on mine this pipe was very kinked so i had to cut it a little shorter and re-fit it with new pipe clip. Seems to be better so far although i do get a little bit of pressure/vacuum release but nowhere near as bad as it was and the tank has stopped popping when i do it.
This is on a TAM by the way but assume the tuscan is the same.

The pressure is there as an aid to fuel pump priming and is intentional.
To remove any excessive pressure that may build up there is also ( should be ) a one way valve in the system.
Mounted in the boot on the nearside behind the carpet. Early MK 1 Tuscan
The front mounted charcoal canister is to remove the fumes from the tank trickle breather.
