My wiper wash works

Alliteration to one side, I have had my wiper wash modified by Raceproved.
I can now clean the screen with well targeted washer jets. I also seem to no longer get an earful of drips coming in through the open window (but that isnt well tested yet).
See pic. No messy pipes anymore either :-)

Interesting... do you have more info on the wipers used/ work done?

Same wipers (arms and blades). The old gubbins removed, new spray head added and pipes re-routed within arms - I think that's it.

Just left a message to see if they can post the parts out. Looks very neat.

I am not sure if RP will be offering this as I think the parts were proving expensive (in relative terms).

Do you happen to know if that spray head is a designated RP part or available as such? Would ask them to do it, but its quite a distance for me... so I am thinking of doing this myself instead.

Or are there other solutions out there? The wash/wipe could need some improvement indeed.

Looks like a similar setup I bought from Leven a couple of years back (although, IIRC, my jets don't stick out quite as much). Supply pipe runs up the inside of the wiper arm?

Looking at Leven's website the blades are £17+vat and the blades with new arms are £25+vat, although didn't a few peeps buy some cheaper ones off eBay?

I'm 99% sure its off a Jaguar XJ. I picked up one last time I was at the breakers, but the Jag only has a single wiper, so I'm hoping there'll be another next time I'm there.

Easy fit too - clips on around the existing arm - just need to snip the existing pipe and push on.

Raceproved just rung me and I have ordered the bits!

It is £30 a side incl VAT plus £5 postage. I have just ordered the drivers side as I take the passengers side wiper off.

Just got their feedback, the 25 quid is ONLY for the pair of arms so for a full set its

17 for the blades
25 for the arms
12 for shipping (continent)
11 VAT

... summing up to 65 quid alltogether

£65? Ouch! I really wanted a pair of those for mine but at that price they will have to wait, few more important things to do first.

Seems fair price to me....£65 is a small price to pay for a clean screen, certainly compared to the overall running costs...

Think I may have a go at finding a couple myself. There is one on eBay (http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Jaguar-XJ8-1998-2003-Windshield-Washer-Jet-Sprayer-/160480676794?pt=Motors_Car_Truck_Parts_Accessories&hash=item255d64cbba#ht_1734wt_901), but at £45 I think I'd rather test it out using one from the scrapper first!

Similar to Gazzab I have the Raceproved mk1 version which has 2 jets per arm works fine now i have lengthened the flexible hoses so they don't keep coming off under the scuttle (cue Benny Hill music/ ooh i say).

Keeps screen nice and clear my issue are the blades themselves has anyone tried the flexible aeroblades? are they any good? where did you buy them from?

Get some PIAA silicone wipers instead. I have had them on every car I have owned for the last 5 years. They spread silicone over the screen as they wipe like rain-x. They give a massive improvement in visibility.
