What battery - 072?

Is 072 the correct battery these days or has a less painful to fit one been identified?

Careful which 072 you get - just been through this myself. What you actually need is an 072T, a bog standard 072 comes with the posts standing out the top of the battery and so too tall.

220mm in height - too much, you must have bought something else unless there was more height in the battery tray on later cars.

Yeah youre right but the one they sent me was 205 high so ok. I did have an email conversation with them but maybe they changed the height after mine.

Mines a Powermax batter, dimensions W25xD17xH21, It'd be a really tight fit at 26cm width.

The only new battery that has ever fitted in my 1998 cerb is a 'AM058R' the dims are tight but it just fits, availible from Sussex TVR. My old battery was an old 072 which lasted over 4 years but the new 072 was much to big.
