Dirty hand grips..
Discussion
As the weather is getting better, I'm planning to get myself back on the bike more (i used to cycle everywhere during uni), mainly down for weight loss purposes (i want to lose about 2-3 stone). The bike has been sat outside for a while, and I've given it a good clean. but no matter what I try, i just can't get the hand grips clean or to stop it being all sticky on my hands.
Does anyone have any suggestions for cleaning rubber hand grips, to get them as new? without having to splash out on another set of course.

I suppose it somewhat depends on the kind of rubber. Mine are kind of soft and rather grippy rubber. It's not the kind you could use some MrSheen and a rag on, as you'd get fluff left on it. nor the type you could use kitchen roll on, because it will tear up on it.
How about washing up liquid and a nail brush?Gassing Station | Pedal Powered | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
