The fact that it was in their platform and that they won is cause for concern. Well,,hopefully we will get another season or two. There is going to absolutely nowhere left. You really have to wonder about the future of performance cars for road use.

Volk I know who know about Germania have assured me that whilst this was indeed on the agenda of these petty insects, in the final moment - when it comes right down to it - Klaus & Co. will retain this metaphorical redoubt for automotive splendour.

Ok so I'm in a bad mood anyway but this has really fecked me off. Not so much as I don't live in Germany or have yet to visit BUT it's the bigger picture here.

Reduced speed limits to try and reduce pollution will spread like a disease across Europe.

Maybe it is us who have a problem, an addiction that is unhealthy. When I comment on a smoker that they should stop they tell me to run and jump and how it's their choice blah blah. I couldn't get my head round why you want to risk harming yourself affecting others around you etc but...

That must be what these green folk think about us: We threaten our lives & others by daring to think that a quick blast of the accelerator is ok if conditions allow.

Well like the stressed smokers, I say fk off I leave me be!!

I can just see in 15 years from now we will be driving around limited to a constant co2 limited speed and acceleration in a box that literally will get from A to B. Then us lot will be forced to go into hiding and we'll all chip in to buy bits of land to convert them into really long twisting 'driveways' so that we can get our fix.

Thank fk I'm getting my motorbike this week - they'll be banned soon and it'll be the last chance for some freedom of speed - it does matter!!!

Our German friends will be travelling a lot quicker than anyone in UK - which seems increasingly to be subject to a blanket 50 mph limit.

I can imagine that being a fun car to drive - it sounds like it would probably be an electric car too. Perhaps we do need to recalibrate our notions of performance cars?

Non-story. Every few years it gets discussed and rejected.

The Germans are fully aware that being forced
to drive slowly is not the same as being a safe driver.

Added to that, the *average* speed on the autobahn IIRC
about 95 mph, so a 75 mph limit is going to upset a lot
of motorists, aka voters.

Free roads for free people.
