|I have a 2007 Landrover Defender short wheel base with the OE supplied small white wheels. I have bought 5 new LMDF1208 alloys and noticed that the nuts do not thread all the way through. I was told these fit, what an I missing or doing wrong??
Steel wheels have thinner walls and use tapered nuts to hold the wheels on and to centre them. Alloys have thicker walls and use sleeved nuts with a longer 'shoulder' to support the thickness of the wall. Hope this makes sense?!
