Crankshaft sensor location ?.....Ford Focus 1.8 TDCi (52)
Discussion
Some history first on my52 Ford Focus 1.8 TDCi.....I've had two engine shut downs since Christmas !!
No warnings at all just the engine stopped mid cruise @ approx 40/50 mph)
Easy start on demand, never even pulled over to stop.
No ECU check light.
Zero fault codes recorded in history (we've looked)
Possable causes.....veriable speed sensor, Cam sensor, crankshaft sensor
Rightly or wrongly i have made a educated guess with the Crankshaft sensor to start with, but heres the rub.....where on earth does it live ?
Removed the air box assy and have a reasonable view down the left side of the engine as viewed fwd.
I have been told it's located on the bell housing at the back facing the fly wheel.....well if it is, i can't see it for looking. Moved a few looms out the way and still i return a blank.
Can anyone shed any light on the where abouts of this sensor....and how i gain access to it to replace it........Pleeeeese
