Hotel near Le Mans suitable for kids
Discussion
Hi guys i'm taking my tweenage boys down to LM in April for the testing, I usually camp with friends for the big event so don't really know the hotels very well. A quick google shows up a forest of places but I was wondering if anyone has any in particular they would recommend?
I'm looking for something reasonable - £100 a night would be fine but cheaper better obviously.
Advice appreciated!!!

There's chain hotel/motel type places either up at the north end of town by the autoroute exit (several fast food restaurants nearby too) or at what is listed as 'Arnage' but isn't far out of LM itself, next to a lake - stayed at a Hotel Marmotte there.
Of the mainstream hotel I've only stayed at the Novotel which was a bugger to find (had to ask some bloke on a moped and he lead us there) but we had the bonus of confusing the computer by arriving at 00:05 and ending up paying for one night less as the arrival day had clocked over. It was the usual Novotel but had a carpark full of exotica.

FWIW we stay at the Campanile in Ferte Bernard for Classic which ticks all the boxes albeit some way out.
For pre qual we used to stay at the Logis De France hotel in La Suze sur Sarthe which is a quintesential hotel in a french small town. Excellent restaurant especially the menu de gastion (apologies for french spelling)

There are loads of hotels in Le Mans and around the circuit and they won't be full or expensive for the prequals in April. No need to go far away like Le Ferté Bernard. Novotel, pretty reasonable, but a bit tired, but why not try the Hotel Arbor on the Mulsanne straight and see what they are offering? Green 7 is just north of Tertre Rouge too.
