Anyone else at Llandow this weekend? I know you are Paul, are you in the '5?

There's 5 or 6 VX220's going of which I will be one.

I'll say gudday. Should be easy enough to spot yours!

It's a full day I gather. I was added to the reserve list, then two people canceled.

Probably be in the Subaru, sold the green 5, bought another but its not ready. See you there.

I'll be there, ive got a golf VR6 thats not ready yet so just going up to get some info and see how the day is run.

I'll be there. First outing in my MK Indy Blackbird. Going with a pal in his VX220. Should be nice and dry.

What a great day it turned into! Excellent time, with just a little frustration at the hot hatches who wouldn't ease off to let us slow mx-5s past. Of course, not including the excellent couple of laps chasing the 106 GTI, with Paul onboard.

I'm sorry, I never did say hello Mark, your VX was rather fast on track!

Sorry I shot off a bit early, fuel pump/filter problems I think. Managed to limp it back to London though.

Spotted! That's me in the black MK Indy. Honda Blackbird engine, still work in progress on the driver performance and engine/car set up so happy to be held up by my pal in the blue VX220.

What are you driving. Doesn't sound/look like it's a stock MX5?

It was good fun chasing you! I couldn't have gone any quicker.

Engine wise, very little to be honest. It's got an airfix stlye induction kit fitted by a previous owner (Sounds good though), and an MX-5 Parts stainless exhaust.

Suspension wise, P5, fitted by Phil at performace 5 a couple of years ago, and a hard dog sport roll bar. Llandow is a great circuit for it.

Glad I found this thread.... I live in the area, and really want to book for this next up coming car track day on Saturday May 21st..... I'm a circut track virgin, but Llandow looks like a good course to start on (ie, not too many turns & curves).......

Really hope to be there on that Saturday....

Fairly small circuit, but it's great fun.

Good for a first time I'd say, you get two sessions when they group you with other people with similar experience, only out with your group. You also get a couple of sighting laps on these sessions too.

Sounds great.... I think I'm going to head over there during the week & have lunch at the cafe there.... Hopefully I will be out there on that Saturday....
