As per title really, anyone on BB got a ZX7RR or ZX750RR M1 Homologation special ?

Really keen to look one over close up and see if I fit on it and then try to find one to own if I do. I am just a bit starnge that I fancy the more obscure bikes. So no RC30 or OW-01 for me.

Yes, there's two at ClubHouse motorCycles here in Bruma. One race spec and the other road spec. The race spec has a lot done and looks lush. I'm meant to be at their dyno thursday night so i'll take pics.
I'm sure you could take it home as hand luggage......

Clubhouse Motorcycles now at Bruma Lake ? They were in Bez Valley for years & years. Was always Portugese SA owners back in my time.

I will see if they have a website

ZXR750R's come up very rarely at reasonable money in good condition.

I've been sniffing for one for a long time with no joy.

As VB says - to sit on, both the models will feel the same as the cooking ZXR750 and ZX7R.

'Mel' off here has a ZX7RR race bike, but I'm not sure anyone else on here has either of the Kawasaki homologation models.

My bad, yes Alain's in Bez valley, not Bruma. Give Alain a call, their website isn't up to much

There's a ZXR750RR for sale in George Whites Plymouth - the second generation model of the ZXR.

Is it still there? I thought it had a sold sign on it when I went in there 3 months ago.

I nearly spaffed in my pants when I saw it, the salesman or the rest of the sales team didn't even know it was a RR.

I posted pics of it a while back.

Can't see it on the site.

There's a mega mileage one at a dealer that comes up on e-bay occasionally but doesn't sell and a minty minter that was up for £8K that has apparently sold.

There's the odd dodgy non-original one that comes up too like the one on redmonkey 7R site at the moment. Guy wanted £6K. Put it through e-bay and bidding stopped at £1600 - probably as it was abroad.

It looks like some people must actually spaff in their pants when they see it, hence the wet floor sign.

I think I said this last time, but if that was on the shop floor at £2800, I would not only be reneging on my plan to move on from sportsbikes but also be on my way to Plymouth PDQ.

These things are such good value as a collectable, i worked in a Kawasaki dealer in Southampton back in the early '90s when the ZXR J series came out, we had a green/white/blue ZXR 750'M' (750RR model designate) the thing is, people didn't look twice at it, most had no clue there was a special edition at the time.
Kawasaki sent no specific marketing/sales stuff to us about it, we actually had to convince people that it was indeed a bit special.
I can't help thinking that although it never gained the 'race winner' pedigree of the OWO1 or RC30, it will still be in years to come a colectable item that will only appreciate in value.
Buy one now, it may take a while but values will rise.

Yep, as pete said I've got a ZX7RR in race trim, originally it was a '96 "team green" BSB, I bought it the year after and converted into endurance trim running it for 2 seasons under Renegade sponsorship in the KRC, when the superbike class went upto 1 litre it became a worthless dinosaur overnight so rather than give it away I used it as my trackday mule for a few years, then garaged it with every intention of restoring it to it's former glory, which is how it has sat ever since with me saying one day I'll get round to it.

To all those who have PM'd me overnight asking if it's for sale well afraid not, well not at the moment anyway as I'm still clinging to the perhaps delusional idea that I will do it back up again. Do also take into account that Triggers broom was more original than my bike, in my ownership it had two new frames and 3 engines, the current engine although it has the close ration gearbox is from a P7 and has standard carbs, the original brake calipers got damaged long ago and the suspension was custom worked. So pretty much the only thing that makes it a ZX7RR is the frame and number but it does have some rather trick marvic magnesium wheels. All the bodywork is basic glassfibre stuff and it is a functional endurance racer with everything being quick release and captive (20-30 seconds to change both wheels) Oh and its in a rather hideous green and yellow combination but that wasn't my choice, as they say "he who pays the piper calls the tune" so blame the sponsors for that.

As I said I don't need to sell it, and have no real desire to get rid of it but every man has his price wink and although I have no idea how much it's really worth all things considered if someone waived enough twenties at me they could wheel it away. I've toyed with the idea of an ebay auction but I've never been very good at actually selling toys which is probably why my garage is so stuffed. Please feel free to post up suggestions on value or even offers and I'll consider them, you never know if something passes the magic number buried in my head then it'll go.
