MGF and 6'4......Will it work?

Okay topic says it all really, a work colleague has offered me his MGF for next to nothing (97p plate with less than 80k on the clock, looked after better than his kids, head gasket been done etc) and to say I'm tempted is an understatement. The problem is I'm 6'4 and am having worries that my height and build (I play Rugby, think that says enough really lol) is going to play against me. Anybody of a similar stature have any experience with them?
I'm only 6ft, but I am not slight of build and have trouble with quite a few cars (lets just say that the words Lotus Elise are very sore points) but I tried a MK2 MX5, a MK3 MR2 and an MGTF and found the MG to be the comfiest to sit in of the three. Both in terms of shoulder and leg room.
It is worth noting though that compared to the other two (which were its main rivals) the quality of its build left a lot of room for improvement.

Mate of mine bought one - he's about 6'2 an only just fits and then its not very comfy - plus no shoulder room - when in passenger seat I find it is preferable to travel with the window open to put your arm somewhere!
At 6'4 and of decent build you will have issues and look mildly ludicrous at the same time - my mate does!!

Surely he'll let you have a test drive? If you find it really uncomfortable, I would guess that it would be something that would be likely to improve.
Oh test drive isn't a problem but I also know what I'm like, I'll be swayed by bargainess and forgive it every fault under the sun comfort wise (Sometimes I just don't know when to say no)Surely he'll let you have a test drive? I am 6'2" and had one quite a few years ago. A common mod at that time was to replace the solid metal hooks which held the seat base with springs. This allowed more "give" in the seat and a slightly lower seating position. Seat had to be removed to do this but it was easy to do. I bought the springs as a kit, but I can't remember where from. Anyway I had no problems fitting in it.
