Anyone in the catering equipment supply industry?
Discussion
Thought I'd put this here rather than Food & Drink, maybe more folk will see it.
I'm looking for recommendations for two Combi-Steamers, must be reliable, have good heat circulation (the current Bonnet ones are particularly bad at this), and, most importantly, be no more than 800mm x800mm x500mm x120kg.
Any suggestions? Have spoken to Electrolux and Rational and neither offer anything smaller than a 6 tray, which is physically too big.
Anyway, PH has a habit of suprising me, so thought it would be worth a try.
Cheers.

Surprised the Hobarts aren't performing.
Do you need stand alone or stacked?
Stand alone, they are currently fitted on gimbals to allow rolling up to 20deg so we will remove the feet and mount them on a SS plate. We have 2 Bonnet P-POCHR.E4 at the moment if that means anything to you. Have been trying Hobart but not had much luck with them so far.Do you need stand alone or stacked?

We used a Lincat oven, It worked fine for a few years in a buisy kitchen, but when it started to play up it would cost £££ to get it fixed.
Just looked at the Lincat site, are they by any chance Rational ovens built under license? They Look almost identical to the Rational 6-tray being considered and dimensions are the same to the milimeter.KP328 said:

Lincat is a rebadged Rational. All the parts a stupid expensive.
I am trying to fix a water issue with a stacked pair.
The plastic water parts (joints) are plus of thirty pounds each.
We're re-jigging our website & we were checking links from other sites & i just saw someone linked to our company (Allsop & Pitts).
It's actually our family company & would like to thanks Pugwash for his recommendation
If i was going to recommend anything i'd say Rational's, they seem to be the industry standard, German made & pretty much the most reliable ones.
Alternatively you could also have an Electrolux one, Air-O-Steam range (We're Electrolux partners).
I've just re-read your post.
The other one i could recommend would be a Convotherm one as they do "mini" combi's (smaller than 6 GN).
Or alternatively you could go the Falcon route as they have a "Joker" range of Combi's (I'm not kidding there, that's the name of their range of mini-combi's).
