Keil Kraft models.....
Discussion
God that brings back memories! My Father & I built loads of KK models, me or my father built Neptune (day cruiser), KK Champ beginners control line, I did loads of them. Quite a few of the rubber powered eazi-built kits, Comet an all sheet glider around 20" pan. A control line wing beginning with T which escapes me. The KK Cadet glider, all of these flew very well. Those were the days!
Guys,
Thanks for, I remember fondly building these Keil Kraft Models with my Dad too.
Sadly he is no longer with us, but I want to build some simple models with my Son Tom, now he is growing up a bit too!!
Does anyone know where I can buy some simple Balsa Rubber Powered Models in the UK thees days.
Thanks in advance.
Nige.

Cheers Ears just found them when searching, so might be trying one for Tom and I to build soon!!That site is a great find, thank you.
I found a KK Marquis in our attic which I must have built in the 60's. Don't recall ever flying it though! But what to do with it? Doubt it is worth anything but couldn't bear to bin it.
I always wanted a Super 60. Even set about scratchbuilding some 'carrier wave' radio gear to go in it.
Final recollection is of a lad at school who perfected the art of building those wonderful but very fragile scale models in the KK collection and then cladding them with thin balsa rather than tissue to create tiny 'control line' models which could take a tiny Davies Charlton Diesel.
I recall that was a pretty comprehensive collection of iconic aircraft. Spitfire is shown on the site but there was definately a Hurricane, Miles Messenger, DH 110, Aircoupe, Tiger Moth and lots more.

I too remember building those models, in particular the scale aircraft. Built the Spitfire, Hurricane a Focke Wulf and several others. There was also a range of jet aircraft designed for the little JetEx motors. I built one called a Skyray which took off like a banshee when the motor fired, climbed up about 30 or 40 feet rolled and nose dived into the ground! I recollect the Dolphin glider flew really well. Happy days...
I have bult a fair few KK models in my time and had a lot of fun with them. Only one that didn't really perform was a scale Javelin which, if I remember correctly, was powered by a small Jetex unit. I was never the 'lightest' of builders, models usually coming out a few more ounces than listed in the plans, but I think the Javelin was just too small to cope with the extra wing loading.
ETA. Actually looking through the Jetex website, it would appear the Javelin was one of their models, and not a KK effort, so my apologies to KK for saying one of their models was crap.
