New family car - smallish 4x4?

The missus wants a small 4x4 vehicle and I am considering the options. she would love a A3 sportback quattro but I am thinking that would be pushing it at over 400-450 lease.
Other options I can think of are the Skoda Octavia Scout and the Yeti these appear to be the only other 4x4 that I can think of that would go under the 350 barrier (with options)
Can anybody suggest anything else? she has her heart set on a 4x4. I fitted her Merc C class with Winter tyres last year and it got her up the hills here in the snow but she wants a car with added traction to give her peace of mind.
Under 350-380 a month, 5 doors, 4x4 and a least as much boot space as the A3 Sportback.

You might have to wait for a Yeti.
I have an Octavia 4x4 estate, not the Scout but basically the same car - it was excellent in the snow, even without winter tyres it was the only thing that could get in or out of our village apart from 'proper' 4x4s and tractors. Plus the boot is HUGE for a car of that size.

Do you really need a 4x4 ? Remember normally more thirsty and subsiquently higher road tax band. We only have a few days per year where a 4x4 is DESIRABLE for road use and often decent winter tyres with chains for emergency will do just the same job.

There are plenty of 'different' vehicles out there, that still manage to look 'right'.
The Juke isn't one of them.

And personally I quite like the look of the Juke, it's certainly the point that would make me go and test drive one. And I'm sure I'm not alone in this.
