Quick CV Advice: Which Headings ?
Discussion
Hi,
I've search for similar threads and I can see there is a lot of good knowledge & advice in this forum in relation to layout of CVs but no real answer to this question.
I'm updating my CV for the first time in 3 years and I'm going to start again rather than rehash my old one.
Can anyone advise which headers (and more importantly the order) form part of an effective CV.
I work in Finance (aiming for a Big 4 position).
Thanks in advance,
Chris

Coincidentally, I found my CV on an old memory stick this morning. It's from 2001, but I have no idea why I did it.
Name
Key Achievements (at least one thing per year in chronological order)
Skills Profile (bullet points)
Professional Experience (job history)
Education & Qualifications (short, in my case)
Other Information (I can drive a car)

My CV goes as such
Personal and contact details at the top (but this is not headed)
My first headed section is a short bit about my aims and goals but I forget what its headed up as.
Employment History
Qualifications
Interests (very short section)
Referees Upon Request (not headed)
This. But the aim (note singular) and objectives piece mentioned above is more about describing you as an individual and condensing your entire being and experiences in to a few sentences that will make them want to take a closer look at you. Fail to make an impact here (along with some poor employment competencies and history), then you'll be wasting their time and yours. Good luck!Personal and contact details at the top (but this is not headed)
