As the title sugests I'll be in Brittany with my family the week before Le Mans (4th - 11th June). I've never been before so would quite like to go up to the circuit for the day - I was thinking the Weds 8th when there's free practice on. Can anyone help with some questions?

Can I just rock up on the Weds, get parking for the day and buy entry tickets?

Is it going to be suitable for my wife and young daughter? To be honest we'd only really want to mooch around for a few hours rather than sit all day in one of the grandstands. We'd probably pop into the museum as well.

Will it be really busy or does it get busier as the race approaches?

Is there anything else I should consider?

Cheers!

The practice/qualifying sessions are in the evenings (normally 1900-2100 and 2200-0000) so it's not really a day-trip.

If you did want to attend it's easy to turn up, park and buy a ticket.

Thanks, after double checking things start at 4pm on the Weds. That will teach me to read the schedule properly in the future!
