As its not a structure, I wouldnt have thought planning permission would come in to it. However you might want to ask what porn they can pick up ? biggrin

Just out of interest how big is big?

Pretty sure they are allowed to do what they want with stuff like satellite dishes (I think, as long as it below 1m diameter).

Unless they are in a large development with houses and flats or similar. Even then ... Permission is probably not too hard to get.

Basically yes, provided one is 100cm and the other 60cm, and it's not a listed building:

I wonder if different planning rules / laws apply as it's not a standard domestic dwelling?

I agree how these blight some areas though - houses across the road from me face South and everyone who has a dish has it nicely tucked out of the way at the side. Then a newcomer srrived and stuck a dish smack on the front of his house.

I suspect. One is for SKY. The other is for a satellite providing TV channels in a language more familiar to some of the residents.

OP - do you go fishing? hehe

I'm struggling to imagine how the positioning there would affect your view, and you shouldn;t be gazing towards the windows of a womens refuge. smile

Reminds me of (one of the few funny) Jeremy Beadle stunt where a woman said she ordered a dish thinking it was 30" and it turned out to be 30' - they brought it on a low-loader and put in the front garden, totally dwarfing the house and her husband went absolutely mental.

Not In Their Back Yard?

Disappointing, was expecting a replica of Arecibo mounted to the house.

Completely off-topic but the other day I saw a puzzled woman in an shop trying to find a 12.5mm width blind as that was the measurement her husband had written down... wink

Top one looks like it is for Sky/Freesat, don't know why they needed what looks like a 60cm dish. Bottom one is 1m and looks like it is for foreign satellite channel pick up, do foreign women 'refuge' there?

You have no right to a 'view' if I remember the rules correctly.

Now if its blocking your light, then thats different,.
